The space Legend behind the apartment design concept The apartment is adorned with a unique piece of ceiling mural on the mythic motif of The Argonauts, painted by an unknown artist in 1917. That’s where the name of the apartment, Argo, comes from. The ceiling in the bedroom depicts the first kiss between Medea and Jason while the mural on the wall of the living room shows a ship, the Argo, sailing the Black Sea and carrying Jason, along with a band of best Greek warriors, to Georgia in his quest for the Golden Fleece. The story of ill-fated love of Jason and Medea is described in numerous legends. It mainly has a tragic end. But there is a later version of the legend with the happy ending, which tells that after they fled, Jason and Medea returned to Colchis and lived a long and happy life. Let’s stick to this legend then… Let’s imagine that this apartment is a symbol of passionate love of Medea, a goddess and the daughter of King Aeëtes of Colchis (Georgia), and Jason, a hero of Greek mythology, and is also the place that makes you come back to Georgia over again.
