The former Rustaveli Cinema building is one of the architectural and cultural landmarks of 20th-century Tbilisi. Rustaveli Cinema — the city's main cinema, was built in 1939 by architect Severov, with sculptures by V. Topuridze and Sh. Mikatadze.
For decades, it served as a hub for citizens, hosting premieres, festivals, and major cultural events. This building holds the history of the capital's cultural life: it once housed Tbilisi's largest cinema, becoming an integral part of the memories of several generations of residents and visitors.
