The house is nestled into the landscape, developing as a series of cascading platforms that descend down a gentle, pumice-covered hill. Massive walls inspired by nearby volcanic rocks define the key spaces. Three distinct wooden volumes house specific functions: a garage and studio, bedrooms, and a dining area.
Moving through the house, one experiences a blend of spaces, shifting between the more open areas nestled between the masses and the enclosed volumes.
